These are two of the El Salvadorian boys in Suzanne's youth group. One has on an Abercrombie t-shirt. The other has a black t-shirt with these words:
con esas tetas que tienes lo que no quiero es ser tu amigo
With those tits you have, what I'm wanting
isn't to be your friend.
Yeah...Rodil wore that shirt two days straight. Not quite okay with it.
ReplyDeleteRoberto (another youth, one of the most motivated positive guys) has one that says: En mi casa mando yo
And on the back:
Y mi esposa quiere que lo diga a todo.
Or something like that.
Not sure which is worse.
btw, Roberto has no esposa or novia and I assured him if he kept wearing that shirt, he wouldn´t get one.
ReplyDeleteWish that was true.
yikes.
ReplyDeleteAll I can think about right now is the series the Plain Dealer (not to be self-serving here) is doing this week on the teenager who is is in a long battle of recovering from having half her face shot off by her "jealous" boyfriend. Too much of a reach to see a connection between the attitude on the Tshirt and the attitude that leads to violence against women? Maybe. But they sure as heck are on a continuum.
