These have been a lot of fun.
I've had the impulse to cast forth that uncoolest comment of all -- the question that seeks to uncover the autobiographical content.
As in, Was Mrs Wallace real, Was little Ninny real, and Are these her real letters, unearthed by the Ghost of Christmas Past, all for our curious nosey entertainment, on a very real cold winter's night?
Yes, Mrs. Wallace is real. She didn't like me, and I hated school. I faked sick all the time. My mother saved letters and pages of my old journals.
