What would be truly wonderful would be to imagine (if not actually attend) a performance of these immortal works delivered by a "human mic", wherein phrases are shouted back by the students at the teacher... oops, audience at the poet?
(The uncanny echoing-back of phrasal units at the recent "Occupy" assemblies seemed to these old ears, eerie indeed... somewhat evoking those old submarine movies in which the depth charges are pinging around outside the hull, and might explode at any time.)
Nin Andrews is the author of 5 full collections of poetry and 6 chapbooks. She is also the editor of a book of translations of the Belgian poet, Henri Michaux. She keeps a literary blog and a blog of environmental comics.
