A bland vacancy of expression:
Sign of going nowhere fast.
Fascinating, this. Having just climbed down from an elliptical trainer machine, I can't help but identify with the person in the poem and the window. I listen to music while exercising and close my eyes so that I'm not staring at a blank wall. Sometimes I'm deliriously happy with the songs I've selected and apparently make funny noises when I exercise. Mostly, the tunes have gotten stale (in this context) and I'm discontent. I guess I need a tv instead to occupy my mind during all the repetition. The NordicTrack ski machine was far more mentally involving. Curtis
